East of Scotland four-piece with a soulful, funky take on new and old standards. Relaxed classics from Clapton to Motown and Blues.
Synergy, fusion, composition: all different nouns describing the idea that the sum of the parts is greater than the whole. In 2018 when four proficient and accomplished musicians started working together on classic blues, soul and funk covers they found a unique synergy in their playing and the Burleigh Blues Band was born.
2019 was a coming out year for the band, playing a series of popular and well received gigs throughout East Scotland. The funky, easy going vibe and charismatic front man soon had the audiences hooked and each gig has led to further opportunities.
